After centuries, this natural environment continues to provide life and sustenance to an entire region thanks to the Iberian pig. An animal that lives and grazes freely in the wide meadows of this natural paradise.

On this exclusive private Day Trip you will spend an unforgettable day on a beautiful private estate in the heart of the Pedroches region.

You will learn from your hosts all about the breeding and care of Iberian pigs and cattle, the different breeds and their diet.

You will visit its small cellar of cured Iberian cured meats and stroll through the dehesa where you can watch the animals grazing freely in the largest holm oak forest in Europe.

You will have lunch in the middle of nature tasting Iberian ham, accompanied by a good wine and other local delicacies cooked over a wood fire.

Spending a day in the Dehesa de los Pedroches is always a pleasure for the senses, although between the months of October and February it becomes something truly exceptional. It is the time of the montanera, when the ripe acorns fall from the holm oaks and the green pastures are full of Iberian pigs enjoying their favourite food.
