Just 80 km from Granada is the Geopark of Granada, a spectacular landscape of almost 4,800 square kilometers that seems to be taken from another world.

In this vast extension is located the megalithic Park of Gorafe and its 240 dolmens that have been defying the passage of time since the Neolithic. It is one of the largest concentrations of this type of prehistoric funerary monuments in Europe.

Inland we will find the impressive Coloraos Desert: An exotic landscape full of colorful canyons, gullies and arid and silent valleys that millions of years ago were inhabited by mammoths, saber-toothed tigers, rhinos and other animals that seem more like something out of the African savannah.

We will explore this almost Martian landscape with an exciting 4×4 route. Four hours to feel free and wild discovering spaces that date back to the dawn of humanity.

In the middle of this Day Trip to the Geopark of Granada we will make different stops where, apart from enjoying the spectacular views, we will get to know one of the most unique natural areas of Spain through the interpretation of the landscape, flora and fauna.

You will also have time to explore this amazing landscape on foot. A simple route of approximately one hour will take us to the Acequia de Toril, a unique geological formation in Europe. It is a natural aqueduct that has been formed over thousands of years by the sedimentation of minerals in the water.

Along the way we will find cracks, tunnels and branches of hot springs that will lead us to the dolmens of Alicún, a necropolis that is part of the Megalithic Park of Gorafe.

After this unforgettable adventure through the badlands of Granada you will have time to recharge your batteries tasting the flavors of the land in a good local restaurant.

On the way back to Granada and as an optional activity to close the Day Trip, you will have the opportunity to stop at one of the best wineries in the province. Here, in addition to learning about the estate and the winemaking process, you can enjoy a private tasting of 3 wines accompanied by local sausages.
