Guided tour of Triana and Santa Cruz
A journey through the art and history of an enchanting city.
This is our most special private tour in Seville. A half-day tour of Seville to discover the real Sevillian culture through its two most emblematic neighbourhoods: Santa Cruz and Triana.
First we will enter the magical network of narrow streets of the Barrio de Santa Cruz, the site of the old Jewish quarter of Seville. We will visit Santa María la Blanca, a legacy of different cultures and one of the most spectacular churches in Seville and most representative of early Andalusian Baroque.
We will walk around the exterior of the Cathedral of Seville, enjoying all its perspectives, before heading towards the gentle and majestic river that crosses the city.
We will enjoy a walk along the banks of the Guadalquivir and we will enter the most artistic quarter of the city: Triana.
This neighbourhood is the cradle of flamenco and pottery in Seville. His tiles were distributed throughout Spain and crossed borders to serve as inspiration for Latin American designs. Next to the Capilla del Carmen, we will enter the most traditional food market in Seville, the Triana market, built on the remains of the old Castillo de San Jorge and seat of the Tribunal of the Inquisition.
Near the end we will visit one of the few pottery workshops that are still active. We will be in direct contact with a master potter who will reveal the secrets of her craft.
And to finish…we will enjoy a small tasting of typical Sevillian tapas in an incomparable location…do you want to know it?
Come with us and discover the most authentic side of Seville!
